Thats right. This mp4 video is a good example on how Mp3Doctor PRO does a non-linear normalization. In this case, we use non-linear as the mathematical approach, meaning “a system whose output is not proportional to its input”.

The important thing to notice is that lower parts raises more the volume level than higher parts of the original. Another thing to notice is that the bass and the guitar get pushed too (bass boost and guitar boost).

The volume increase is more powerfull on low volume parts of the song, and software in higher parts. However, even in the higher parts, some instruments get a volume increase bigger than the vocals, per example.
